Mr Binx had a sad story before he came to my parents. He was declawed by a previous owner, and then returned and adopted and returned to the shelter twice. And the second time, the owner was supposedly ill and in tears about having to surrender him. When my sister went to

adopt him, he was quiet and sad, sitting at the back of his cage. The shelter said he was often passed over and had been there for a while. He was about 2-3 years old. My parents have had him for an additional almost 14 years. He's a sweet, soft purring gentleman.

Back in July, one of the grandkids left a door open, and he got out. My parents live right on the edge of a wooded area and have lost two cats over the past decade and a half in the same way, one not too long before Mr Binx disappeared—another beloved house panther named Baylee. :( All 3 times, my family

went looking and asking neighbors throughout the surrounding neighborhoods and woods, posting everywhere online in the search of them. But there are a considerable amount of coyotes in the area, and no one contacted my mom.

...Until now! A worker from a shelter a town over reached out to my mother (in pink), and it turned out to be him!

< 2:42 4 PM Did he ever have loose ? 5G 43 5 PM He was indifferent with dogs. Binx was really easy going. No, but he was always inside. 38 PM He wound his tail in a circle a lot. He had a few white hairs on his chest and just one here and there on his body. 29 PM He would not eat anything but dry food until about a year before he escaped. He discovered a love for wet food and, of all things, nacho cheese dorito pieces. Lol 39 PM So in September someone brought the a senior black cat as an owner

He's skinny, and having tummy issues, but he's right back to sleeping next to my mom (and on her) and joining my dad in his home office during the day. Welcome back to Mr Binx. I'm so glad he can spend his golden years being loved.

Any-Ad-3416 - 1 day ago So glad he is home. Who surrends a cat for having a sensitive stomach?!

missliz_art OP. 1 day ago We are too! Thank you! And right?! One of my cats is also elderly and has hyperthyroidism. I can't imagine giving up my little buddy for that-not when he needs me. And loose stool? With an elderly cat? That's not uncommon or untreatable. He was probably just not handling the food change well after eating the same food for so much of his life!
